We are proud to announce that for the 2005 season,
Team Besecker will launch a fund raising program
benefiting the National Sprint Car Hall Of Fame And
Museum. We have titled this project "A Summer To
Remember", as in 2005 we will remember and honor
those racers who have made these laps before us by
supporting The National Sprint Car Hall Of Fame and
Museum.
Why Is Team Besecker Launching A Fund Raising
Effort For The National Sprint Car Hall Of Fame And
Museum?
There are several reasons. First off, 2005 marks The
Besecker Family's 50th year in open wheel racing. This
season, Kevin's sprint car will feature a vintage theme
in honor of the past heroes of our sport. Kevin became
known last year for his "throw back" clear right side
arm panel where fans were able to see the driver like
"the old days". This year, he is upping the ante with his
2005 DRC Chassis sprint car featuring an authentic
vintage paint scheme, designed and painted by Russell
Jullien, the original painter of his Granfather's race cars
in the 1960's & 70's. To further capture the vintage feel,
Tony Beaber of Beaberbuilt has custom fabricated retro
style bumpers and a special "grill" piece for the hood.
This "old school" car design is an effort to honor
racing's history.
Additionally, several different circumstances in 2004
inspired Kevin to want to "do something" to bring some
exposure and support to The National Sprint Car Hall Of

What Is The Fund Raiser For?
The National Sprint Car Hall Of Fame is need of several
important items. Some of which include proper storage
units for microfilm and video. Currently, the original
microfilm of The National Speed Sport News and
International Motor Contest Association are being
stored in boxes. In the event of water leakage, flood or
pests, these one of a kind records would be lost for
future generations. On The Hall Of Fame Museum's
wish list is:
A Corry Multi-Media Cabinet, a cabinet that will neatly
and safely store 256 microfilm rolls
A 9 Drawer Mobile Multi-Media Cabinet, a cabinet that
will neatly and safely store over 360 VHS tapes and 720
DVDs
Team Besecker would like to raise AT THE VERY
LEAST enough funds to cover these two items. We feel
that by providing the funding for these "behind the
scene" necessities, The Hall Of Fame will be able to
spend funds that they would have alloted for these
items in other ways such as their extensive displays
and tributes to our heroes in The Museum and
functions hosting those heroes themselves.
How Does The Fund Raiser Work?
Every night that Kevin races, he will personally donate a
portion of each of his night's earnings to The Hall Of
Fame. Every night, good or bad, Kevin will make a
personal donation to the cause, with NO exceptions.
Additionally, each month Kevin will race "in the name
of" a Hall Of Famer who has left a special impact on
Kevin's life in one way or another. All donations to The
Hall Of Fame And Museum will be made in those driver's
names. Team Besecker's ultimate goal is to generate
enough funds that the storage units can be purchased
in a addition to a brick in each of the driver's memories
being placed in the museum. We know that with your
help, we can make this happen.

How Else Can You Donate?
Team Besecker will take pledges from individuals or
businesses. These can be donations promised based
on things like A Features Raced, Laps, Laps Lead, Top
10's, Top 5's and Wins, to name a few. This can be for a
season, a month or any number of races that you
choose. You can email your pledge to
teambesecker@yahoo.com . Your pledge is your
promise that you will donate an amount of your
choosing based on the criteria you have outlined. For
examaple, if you want to donate $10 for every lap Kevin
leads in a feature for the month of June, at the end of
June, a tally will be taken of the laps he lead and you
will be asked to fulfill your pledge. This is a fun and
interactive way of getting involved in a wonderful
cause. It also will encourage Kevin to do his best to
make sure that your pledge becomes a reality.
